Minnesota Rapid Response Coalition (MRRC) is committed to rapidly responding to community needs, utilizing a community-centered strategy to move us towards measurable solutions. Made up of Twin Cities community partners such as Aurora St. Anthony Neighborhood Development Corporation, Bourne Strategies, Kindly, The Sanneh Foundation, and Ujamaa Place, our collaboration works collectively to rebuild the needs of minority communities impacted by the economic impact of COVID-19 and the civil unrest.
For example, MRRC through support from Sanneh Foundation launched a COVID-19 food rescue, safety, and distribution program with partnerships from Second Harvest Heartland, Merrick Community Services, Hallie Q. Brown Community Center, Keystone Services and many more. In total, this program has deployed over 1 million pounds of produce to predominately minority communities impacted by the economic realities of COVID-19. This program continues to serve communities and families across Minnesota and is a direct derivative of our rapid response collaboration.
